Preparedness and Response

Everyone’s life changed on September 11, 2001 when the reality of terrorism shook the United States with the events that occurred in New York, Washington and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The term “preparedness” took on a whole new meaning for individuals, families, schools, and businesses, the local, state and federal government and especially pubic safety agencies. Demands to prepare for any multi-hazard incidents have been mandated for many government agencies, organizations, school districts and businesses. This demand has generated a vast amount of work to be completed within a short amount of time.

This is where Binns and Associates can use their knowledge and expertise to facilitate preparedness activities in our consulting role. Binns and Associates has experience with Preparedness Plans, Continuation of Operations Plans, Recovery Plans and Response Plans, specifically School District Response Plans including plans for each school within the District.

A Response Plan is the basis of the entities reaction to an incident. A Response Plan could be tailored for small incidents and also designed for a full-scale incident. Binns and Associates can address the commonly known functions as well as those obscure nuances that could cause a plan to fail.
