Experience:
Everitt F. Binns, Ph.D. currently serves as the Executive
Director of the Eastern PA Emergency Medical Services
Council, which includes Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe,
Northampton and Schuylkill counties. The system serves a
population of two million and is comprised of over 100 BLS
and ALS services, 16 acute care facilities, 2 regional
trauma centers, an enhanced Aero-medical System and an
advanced multi-million dollar medical communications center
- MedCom.
Dr. Binns is a management expert, educational consultant
and organizational leadership specialist to corporations,
hospitals, higher education, and emergency service
organizations. He regularly presents at regional and state
meetings and national conferences.
Additionally, he has over 35 years experience in
emergency medical services. He is an adjunct associate
professor at Drexel University, College of Nursing and
Health Professions. Dr. Binns has published extensively.
Prior to his appointment as Executive Director of the
Eastern Region, he served as Dean of Students at The
Pennsylvania State University.
